Poetry in the classroom

As part of National Poetry Month, today we wrote a collaborative poem using metaphors. Here is what the class came up with on the topic of cats.

Cats are a bundle of joy
Wrapped in rainbows

Cats are furious
A miniature storm

Cats are balls of fluff
Cats are chubby

Cats are a hat
Cats are pillows

Their fur is so soft
It will set you aloft
Into the sky
