5. – Bookmark an entry in your curator’s notebook – explain the different sections and how they relate to a civilization
6. – Bookmark your favorite History Alive chapter reading notes
Each week, 8 students will be sharing a current event that is happening in Greece or sharing an aspect of Greek culture with the rest of the class. Please choose one of the 2 options to share on the Monday you are assigned.
1. Current Event:
a. On an index card, write the title of the article, date, and source (Where you got the article, ex: New York Times, BBC, Oregonian, etc.—it must be a reputable source!)
b. Write a 4-5 sentence summary of the article that includes the important locations, people and ideas in the article
c. Prepare a 1-2 minute presentation that you will give to the class to educate us all on this event.
2. Cultural aspect:
a. Choose an aspect from Greek culture you would like to share with the rest of the class (food, arts, entertainment, etc.). On an index card, write the title of the cultural aspect you will be sharing the source of your research.
b. Write a 4-5 sentence summary about that specific cultural aspect.
c. Prepare a 1-2 minute presentation that you will give to the class – this can include a sample of the food to share, pictures, a music clip, etc.
