Tomorrow the 8th graders head off for the 8th grade retreat!  The 7th and 6th grade students will be going to math/spanish classes and participating in health classes. 
**8th Graders: DON'T FORGET TO PACK A LUNCH FOR TOMORROW AND BE HERE AT 7:45!!!

Due Monday:
- Typed entry to the 'Best Town' contest.  You must write about 5 locations in your North or South town and try and use some of the Civil War slang.  Entries will be judged and winner will receive a prize!!!

Due Tuesday:
- Geography #12: slavery in the states -- use census data to compare percentage of slaves among states in the 1800s

Due Wednesday:
- Civil War novel assignment #3, please complete parts A and B (referred to as parts 1 and 2 in the explanation) in your response booklet.  Make sure you pay attention to the rubric and my comments as you work on this next assignment.
