The classroom was abuzz with extra energy today! Perhaps everyone is excited for the Harvest Faire tomorrow or knowing that Halloween is just around the corner has everyone a little giddy...or maybe it was just Friday!

The Harvest Faire is from 4-7 tomorrow. Our class is helping to run a little hay rides station. Students have signed up for hour-long volunteer shifts. Participation at this event counts towards school-based service.

We will continue our exploration of earthquakes next week. Students completed their final drafts of their Scar Story narratives...I was super impressed with the students' ability to incorporate feedback into their drafts and make some awesome revisions.

Homework:
Due Monday~
- Short Story Sequence Chart (choose short story you want to write character analysis about and complete the chart for that story)

Due Tuesday~
- Do one thing you have been wanting to do and write down what you did and 3 sentences about it. (we brainstormed ideas for this today in class -- students have some great things they are going to be doing this weekend!)

6th grade math:
Due Monday~
- ACE #24 (25-45 should be attempted but we didn't get to cover that concept in class yet-- we will on Monday)
