We are officially back into the swing of things! This week we will begin our study of U.S. immigration, finish up reading Sees Behind Trees, and begin an analysis paper on the themes in Tangerine and The Outsiders.
I will be sending home permission slips for our Winter Field Studies this week. Our first trip is January 18 to the Oregon Historical Society.
HOMEWORK:
Due Tuesday (tomorrow): Rough draft of '11 things' poem - a list poem of events from winter break
Due Thursday: Current Events for Group 2 (Devlin, Rowen, Alex, Tiani, Maya, Haley, Isaac) These students had one due before winter break and we didn't have time to share them, so they can use that article if they so desire
Due Friday:
- Geography #10 - Australia
- Family interview/tree assignment
- Service Reflection (River Festival, Tree Recycling, other community service?)
