What a beautiful day for a trip to Tryon! I was amazed with students' observations and questions on our morning hike. Our afternoon was pretty rushed, so we will definitely be taking some time on Thursday to debrief our field study and share notes/comments on physical/chemical characteristics of the creek, riparian plants, and what macroinvertebrates were found in the creek.
Thanks to Nicole and Marina for taking pictures...my camera was out of batteries...but we'll have some photos up soon. And thanks for our amazing drivers/chaperones...Nicole, Noelle, Patty, D'Arcy, Jeff, Brenda, and Amanda! You truly helped to make the day spectacular for the students.
